WA-ACTE Summer Conference
August 1 - August 2
Curriculum materials are designed in a ready-to-teach, modular format. Each lesson includes hands-on learning activities, note-taking guides, worksheets, student reading, PowerPoint presentations and conclusions to reinforce key concepts, along with assessments to test knowledge retention.
Lesson plans are based on the multiple intelligences model and active learning theories. The materials offer maximum flexibility and can be taught sequentially as a complete personal finance course or as modular components that can be easily inserted into other courses.
Ongoing professional development opportunities to help educators develop the skills and confidence to teach financial education are available. Offerings include webinars, a video library, Take Charge Today Newsletters, social media and educator trainings.
Introductory Level
Grades 7 – 9
Engage individuals with limited finance knowledge using this set of lessons which utilize fast-paced facilitation and activity-based learning methods.
Advanced Level
Grades 10 – 12
Develop financial capabilities in young adults with this comprehensive series of scenario-based lessons including ready-to-teach instruction options.

Motivate students to fully engage in concepts and maximize knowledge retention with this assortment of lessons designed to enhance a wide variety of topics.
