Take Charge Today is a university-based financial education program that helps schools and community organizations strengthen young adults’ money management skills and build a more financially secure future. You can directly support this mission by submitting a secure online gift to the University of Arizona Foundation. Your contribution expands access to high-quality financial education and empowers students with lifelong skills. Donations can be made anonymously, as corporate or matching gifts, in honor of someone, or as a joint gift.

Every gift helps equip teachers with the training and classroom materials they need to deliver impactful, real-world financial education.

Advisory Boards

Ongoing collaboration among classroom educators, university academics, and business partners is the hallmark of Take Charge Today’s success to date and fundamental to Take Charge Today’s continued growth. This collaboration ensures that the Take Charge Today curriculum materials and training models are research based, up-to-date, and proven effective by educators.

Take Charge Today is guided by a National Master Educator team of selected educators  that works with Take Charge Today’s university staff to develop and evaluate curriculum and conduct peer-led trainings, and a State Training team of selected educators from across the nation who work with TCT staff to deliver educator trainings. The Master Educator team is comprised of a diverse group of current classroom educators from throughout the United States who have been selected as a Take Charge Today National Master Educator through a highly competitive application process.

In a society where students, now more than ever, are looking for instant gratification and feedback on why they are learning something, I am fortunate to teach the concepts of financial literacy. I am passionate about teaching the subject, and I was lucky to find the curriculum materials over 5 years ago.

Take Charge Today partnered with Intuit Education to create scenarios to use with Intuit’s popular finance app, Mint, but in a fictional environment.

Take Charge America, Inc. Credit Counseling and Debt Management

Take Charge America, Inc. Credit Counseling and Debt Management is a Phoenix-based nonprofit credit counseling and debt management organization dedicated to improving the quality of financial education across the nation and supported Take Charge Today with a generous grant from 2001-2015. The funding supported the dissemination of curriculum materials through our website, provided for the Take Charge Today staff its ability to develop, test, edit and evaluate curriculum materials on a regular basis.
