Teaching entrepreneurship can foster a culture of innovation. Students learn to identify problems and think creatively about solutions, which can lead to new ideas and potentially even new businesses. Entrepreneurship education can help students develop a variety of skills, including critical thinking, problem-solving, creativity, and financial literacy. These skills are valuable in many aspects of life, not just in business. This lesson focuses on the role of entrepreneurs in society, characteristics of successful entrepreneurs, and how inventions and innovations benefit customers.

Students will play the Bingo Active Learning Tool for vocabulary reinforcement, rank the reasons they would want to become an entrepreneur in an anticipatory activity, and identify if something is a good or a service in facilitation. For a conclusion option in “Picture You: A Future Entrepreneur”, students draw a picture of an entrepreneur with the clothes and accessories they wear and use. The assessment option includes making a profile card for a young entrepreneur.
