To begin the lesson, participants can use the Quizlet study set for vocabulary. there are two anticipatory set options, the SNL video clip, “Don’t Buy Stuff”, or Attitudes About Credits Cards from the Attitudes about Money Active Learning Tool. Play “Credit Card Chaos” to help participants learn to read credit card offers. There are 3 conclusion options: use a Home Talk worksheet so participants can talk to adults about credit, play “Credit Card Trivia,” an activity similar to Jeopardy from the PowerPoint Trivia Active Learning Tool, or the scenarios in “Should They Get a Credit Card?”. Assessments include a comparison shopping for a credit card essay using the Sample Credit Card Offers or watching the Confessions of a Shopaholic movie with the accompanying Active Learning Tool.
